Terms of service
Last updated 4 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between your company and NORUM Data Systems. They say what we provide, what it costs, who owns what, and — the part worth reading — what NORUM does not promise.
The short version
- · Your data is yours. You can export it and you can delete it.
- · NORUM computes and draws documents from what you enter. It does not certify that anything complies with anything.
- · You pay monthly or yearly, and you can cancel at any time.
- · If a payment fails, nothing is deleted. The plan drops to Free.
- · Our liability is capped at what you paid us in the last twelve months.
The clauses below are the agreement. This box is a summary of them.
1. Who you are agreeing with
NORUM is provided by NORUM Data Systems, in Springville, Utah, United States. In these terms, "we" and "NORUM" mean that company; "you" means the company whose workspace it is.
Using NORUM means agreeing to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you are stating that you may bind it.
2. What NORUM does
NORUM holds your product records — formulas, ingredients, specifications, suppliers and facilities — and generates documents from them: nutrition and supplement panels, labels, specifications, certificates and bills of materials.
Those documents are calculated from the regulation as published, from the figures you entered, and from nothing else. Every one records the inputs and the engine version it came from, so the same inputs produce the same document years later.
3. What NORUM does not do, and this is the clause that matters
NORUM does not certify, approve or guarantee that any product, label or document complies with any law, regulation, standard or retailer requirement. It is not a regulatory consultant, a laboratory, a certification body or a law firm, and nothing it produces is legal or regulatory advice.
You remain responsible for what you print, sell and file. A document NORUM generated is a starting point that a qualified person in your company has to review before it goes on a product.
NORUM is not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by the FDA, the CFIA, any government body, or any retailer named in the product.
Where NORUM uses a language model, it does so to read documents you upload and to draft text. It never originates a regulated figure. Every number on a panel comes from the published regulation and from your own data.
4. Your data is yours
You keep every right you have in what you put into NORUM: formulas, specifications, artwork, documents and everything derived from them. We claim no ownership of any of it.
We use it only to run the service for you — to store it, compute from it, show it to the people you have given access, and share it with the companies you choose to share it with. We do not sell it, and we do not use one customer's data to train anything.
You can export your records at any time while your workspace is active, and you can ask us to delete them.
5. Sharing between companies
NORUM lets you send documentation to another company that also uses NORUM. What crosses is only what you deliberately put in a package and issue, and it stops the moment you stop it.
When you share something, you are stating that you may. What the receiving company then does with it is between you and them, and we are not a party to that.
6. Paying
Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance, at the price shown when you subscribe. Payment is taken by Stripe; your card never reaches NORUM and we never store it.
Tax is calculated at checkout, by the payment processor, from the address you enter there. The amount you approve is the amount calculated.
A subscription renews automatically until it is cancelled. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the period you are in. We do not give partial refunds for unused time, and we do not charge a cancellation fee.
AI credits bought as a pack are charged once, at purchase, and do not expire. The allowance included in a plan resets each calendar month and does not carry over. Credits are not refundable and not exchangeable for money.
If a payment fails, everything keeps working for seven days. Nothing is deleted after that: your records stay and stay readable, and the plan drops back to Free until the card is sorted out.
We may change prices. An existing subscription keeps its price until the next renewal after we tell you, and we will tell you at least thirty days before.
7. Introducing another company
If a company opens its own NORUM workspace from your invitation, your subscription is reduced by 10%. From two such companies it is 20%, and 20% is the most it ever reaches however many you introduce.
The reduction applies while that company is still a NORUM customer and the connection between you is live. If they leave, it ends. It applies to the subscription only, not to credit packs or extras, and it is not paid out as money.
8. What you may not do
Do not upload anything you have no right to. Do not attempt to reach another workspace's data, probe the service for weaknesses without asking us first, or resell access without an agreement. Do not use NORUM to produce documentation you know to be false.
We may suspend a workspace that is doing one of those things, or that has not paid. We will tell you why.
9. Availability
We work to keep NORUM available and we do not promise it always will be. There is no service level agreement on a self-service plan. If you need one, it is part of an Enterprise agreement and it is written down separately.
We keep backups and we test that they restore. That is not a substitute for your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose, and you can export at any time.
10. Liability
NORUM is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it is fit for a particular purpose or that it is error-free.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising out of these terms is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profit, lost business, recall costs, regulatory penalties or the cost of reprinting, whether or not we were told they were possible.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud.
11. Ending it
You can cancel at any time, from the billing screen. You can ask us to delete your workspace, and we will.
We may end this agreement with thirty days' notice, or immediately if a workspace is being used for something in section 8. If we end it without cause, we refund the unused part of what you have paid.
Sections 3, 4, 10 and this one survive the agreement ending.
12. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. If a change matters to you — anything about money, liability or what we do with your data — we will email the address on the account at least thirty days before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will change.
13. Language
This agreement is written in English, and the English text is the one that governs. NORUM itself is available in other languages, and any translation of this page we publish later is offered for convenience — where it and the English differ, the English is what applies.
14. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. The courts of Utah County, Utah have exclusive jurisdiction.
