What Costco, Sam’s Club and Amazon ask a supplier to submit
A buyer asks for your specification, your allergen statement, your co-packer's audit and your GTIN, and asks for them this week. NORUM tells you what you already have, what is missing, and — the part that decides your week — whose move each open item is.
What it does
Checks your product against what a retailer submission asks for, and counts the open items by who has to do them: you, your co-packer, a laboratory, an external system, or the retailer.
What it never claims
That any retailer has approved anything. Vendor approval, listing decisions and purchase orders belong to the retailer, and no software can promise them.
Where the rules come from
A retailer requirement in NORUM carries the document it came from. One that has no source cannot go live, and NORUM's own reading of what a retailer probably wants can never count against you.
Supported today
Each of these is a readiness pack: the product data, evidence and external capabilities a submission to that programme asks you to have ready. A requirement is marked verified once it has been read from the retailer's own document and can be cited — until then a pack checks what NORUM can see in your own product data, and says so.

What a readiness pack is not
Most of what a retailer asks for is not visible to NORUM and never will be. A vendor number exists only when the retailer creates one. An item record lives inside their supplier portal. A GFSI certificate belongs to a certification body, and an EDI capability to whoever provides it.
NORUM does not sign in to a retailer portal on your behalf, does not guess a field it has not seen, and reports “we do not know” as a different answer from “you are missing this” — because sending somebody to look for a document that was never theirs to hold wastes the week the readiness check was supposed to save.
